My Husband’s Wife by Alice Feeney (Jan 20, 2025) Thank you, @macmillanaudio for the #gifted advanced listening copy! #macaudio2025 #macaudio2026

Just like every other Thursday, Eden Fox leaves her house for an hour-long run around the small seaside town of Hope Falls where she and her husband have recently purchased an old home known as Spyglass. But when she returns home, her key won’t open the door. When the door does open, a woman who looks alarmingly like Eden answers claiming she is Eden and when her husband appears from inside, he claims the same. Eden’s life instantly spirals – her phone, ID, and passport are inside the home they claim not to be hers. Six months previous, Birdy, a Londoner who has just received a tragic diagnosis, inherits Spyglass from a long-lost grandmother. And just as she starts to uncover the secrets of Spyglass and Hope Falls, she also discovers a secretive company that claims to be able to pinpoint the exact date of your death…and when Birdy learns her date, she decides it is time to do something before time runs out.

OK…this book is BONKERS in the BEST WAY. There are a ton of twists and I’m going to be honest, I didn’t see a single one of them coming. NOT ONE. I was reeling from one reveal to another, going back and re-reading chapters as I thought “WTF just happened?!?” – and honestly, that’s what I love about a great thriller. It is wildly entertaining and chock-full of chaos.

🎧 Audiobook Thoughts: (8h 58m) Bel Powley, Henry Rowley and Richard Armitage do an absolutely fantastic job with the narration. The audio also includes sound effects (running, doors closing, etc) that make it an immersive experience – particularly the running. I really, really enjoyed it!
