Anatomy of an Alibi by Ashley Elston (Jan 13, 2026) Thank you, @vikingbooks & @prhaudio for the gifted print and audio copies! #prhaudioinfluencer
Camille Bayliss has a picture-perfect life – successful husband, powerful father, Range Rover, perfect house, and all the Gucci and Chanel she could ever want. But Camille thinks her controlling husband, Ben, is hiding things. When she finally finds the thread of a clue, she pulls. Which is how she meets bartender Aubrey Price. Aubrey is convinced that Ben knows something about the horrific night that changed her life 10 years ago. Now they have a plan – switch places for a day while Camille is supposed to be out of town. Aubrey will go in her place, allowing Camille to spy on Ben. The only problem is that Ben ends up dead. Now everything is a mess.
Oh what fun this book is to read! It is told in the past and the present through several POVs and we, as readers get to piece things together along the way. It was such a well-constructed, tightly written tale. This is one where there isnβt a big twist but a series of small revelations that move us both closer to and further from the truth. Like her adult debut, First Lie Wins (a book Iβve recommended so many times), Elston kept me engrossed from the very first chapter. If you love a good thriller, grab this one ASAP.
π§ Audiobook Thoughts: This audio is very fun, because there is a different narrator for each of the 4 main characters – Camille, Aubrey, Ben, and Hank (Benβs law partner). They are voiced by MacLeod Andrews, Saskia Maarleveld, Amanda Stribling, and Dan Bittner who make an already fantastic book into an amazing audio experience! (9 hrs and 39 mins)
