Hannah and the Hitman by Vanessa Vale (Out Oct. 2024, New on audio 3/25) Many thanks to Simon Mavrick for the #gifted audiobook!

Hannah finds herself in every romance reader’s worst travel nightmare – getting caught reading the spicy scene on a plane by your seat mate. Even worse – or better? – the ridiculously hot guy sitting next to her wants to read along. He introduces himself as a hitman. Totally a joke. Probably.

But Jack isn’t joking. He’s never felt a spark like this before – and despite the whole killer for hire thing, he’s smitten enough to track her down in her cozy small town. Librarian Hannah is intrigued, but she’s also hiding a few secrets of her own. As their connection deepens, so do the stakes.

This was 100% pure fun! A campy, clever, utterly entertaining romp that had me grinning the whole time. While the story keeps things light, there’s surprising depth in Jack’s moral struggles and Hannah’s family dynamics. I devoured this one and can’t wait for book two in April – the main characters in that book, Fiona and the Fixer, played important roles in this book.

🎧Audiobook Thoughts🎧Narrators Gail Shalan and Rock Engle absolutely nail the vibe! It’s a breezy 8-hour listen that’s perfect for shaking off a reading slump and diving into something irresistibly fun and fast-paced.
