Buried Dreams by Natasha Madison (March 14, 2025) A huge thank you to the author for the gifted advanced listening and reading copies of the third book in the Dream series – just as addictive as the first two!
Years ago, Everleigh and Brock were in love. Then, one tragic night, a car accident shattered everything, changing not only their lives but those of everyone else involved. In the aftermath, Everleigh left their small town behind, and Brock, reeling from the loss, had a one-night stand that made him an unexpected father. They haven’t seen each other since. Now, Everleigh is back, helping her mother recover from a heart attack. She resents Brock for moving on so quickly, while Brock still feels abandoned by her sudden departure. But beneath the hurt and anger, their connection never truly faded. As they get to know the older, changed versions of each other, the love they once shared resurfaces. Yet with Everleigh’s life built elsewhere and Brock devoted to raising his daughter, is there a path to a second chance?
This small-town romance series is highly addictive, and I love how each book continues exploring the ripple effects of the car accident on every character. In Buried Dreams, the conflict feels more internal and emotionally grounded, which was a refreshing shift after the heavier drama of the first two books. I especially enjoyed Everleigh’s evolving relationship with her mother and the unexpected parallels in their journeys. Brock’s bond with his daughter, and the way Everleigh slowly becomes part of her life, was both charming and heartfelt.
Like the previous books, Buried Dreams is interconnected with the overarching story of this tight-knit town, the controlling wealthy family that looms over everyone, and the long journey toward healing. It’s emotional, steamy, and so easy to devour – I’m already counting down to the next installment!
