Go Luck Yourself by Sara Raasch (March 11, 2025) Thank you Macmillan Audio for the gifted advanced listening copy of this incredibly fun and funny follow-up to The Nightmare Before Kissmas!

After the events of The Nightmare Before Kissmas, Cole is working to rebuild relationships with the royal families of the other holidays. But when he and his brother, Kris, discover that someone has been siphoning magic from Christmas—and the only clue left behind is a shamrock – it becomes clear that St. Patrick’s Day royalty might be involved.

To investigate, Kris agrees to spend St. Patrick’s Day week as a Christmas ambassador, all while secretly trying to uncover the truth behind the stolen magic. But he’s in for a shock when he meets Prince Lochlann Patrick, the Crown Prince of St. Patrick’s Day – who just so happens to be the same mysterious Cambridge student Kris has been locked in a fierce battle with over the best reserved library spot. As the week unfolds, their academic rivalry gives way to something deeper. They discover how much they truly have in common, and their slow-burn enemies-to-lovers dynamic begins to take shape. But when the truth about the stolen magic comes to light, will their fragile new bond survive?

I really enjoyed the first book, and this one was even better! While there’s an instant attraction between Kris and Loch, the story still has a great slow-burn element, with both characters openly acknowledging how fast their feelings are developing. Their conversations about their passions—art and literature—were tender and heartfelt, adding depth to the playful, campy fun that made the first book so delightful. The world-building remains whimsical and over-the-top in the best way, blending humor, romance, and fantasy seamlessly. I’m already looking forward to book three, which will focus on Cole and Kris’s best friend, Iris!

🎧 Audiobook Notes 🎧
Dylan Reilly Fitzpatrick delivers a fantastic solo narration, perfectly capturing both the emotional depth of the tender moments and the laugh-out-loud humor of Raasch’s wonderfully wacky world.
