Head Cases: Unraveling a Serial Killer Mystery

Written by

·

Agent Gardner Camden is part of a unique FBI unit called PAR (Patterns and Recognition). All the the members of PAR have two things in common – an extraordinary skill to see what others do not and having tanked their career in some other part of the FBI. Camden is the most uniquely skilled among them with his ability to see patterns and solve puzzles, but his ability to communicate and empathize isn’t that great. When they’re called in on a case where the murder victim is ID’d as a serial killer they thought was long dead, a case Camden closed early in his career, the unit finds themselves racing across the country as a serial killer begins taking out other killers. But as the killer eludes them, Camden begins to make connections that this murder spree might be personal, and those he loves could pay the ultimate price.

WOW. WOW. Ok, so most of you know me as a romance reader, but I spent decades reading almost exclusively mysteries and thrillers, and I find myself being super picky about them because of that. This one was so great – it has a fantastic plot, an engaging and well-developed cast of characters, great pacing, and a beautiful atmospheric tone while still being a pulse-pounding thriller. It is the first in a series and I’ll be with it until the last book. What a treat.

🎧 About the Audiobook 🎧 The audiobook is expertly narrated by Will Damron, who perfectly embraces Gardner’s neurodivergent characteristics as the lead character while also giving depth to the unique cast of characters that make up the PAR unit.
