Book: ๐๐๐๐๐ Audiobook performance: ๐๐๐๐๐ Spice: Closed Door
by @authorcindysteel – This book is just about as sweet and swoony as a book can get.
Since she was a teenager, Nora has had more responsibilities than most her age. That has left her with little time for dating. When her best friend insists she join a dating app, she finds herself at an NBA game with the rudest, smelliest date ever. However, Duke, a handsome, funny, great-smelling stranger, sits on the other side of her. When the kiss cam keeps panning to them during the event, mistaking them for a couple, they end up kissing to appease the attendees. But that kiss leads to an epic night – and their lives are forever changed.
I don’t want to give away anything, but this book will have you smiling ear-to-ear. From the most adorable meet-cute to an epic quest to cross off bucket list items, stolen glances, hidden notes, the most meddling best friends, and the cutest grandparents – you will find so much to grin about. However, the book has a lot of depth, as Nora and Duke both fight to overcome their parents’ expectations. The banter, sweetness, and caring in this story are top-notch, and I 100% know this is a book I will regularly return to as a comfort read.
Justis Bolding narrates the audiobook in one of those performances that makes you absolutely hypnotized by the dialogue and laugh at the banter.
