They have the perfect life—and Amber Patterson wants it. Preying on Daphne’s kindness, Amber ingratiates herself into their lives with a plan. However, a series of secrets may upend Amber’s devious plans.

Ok, I started this book, and because Amber was so diabolical and the Parrish family was so over the top, I wasn’t exactly sure if I was going to have a protagonist to root for, but WOW, when the book took off, it is so fun to watch everything unfold. I kind of guessed correctly about what would happen but did not anticipate all of the twists and turns that brought readers to a very satisfying conclusion. It reminds me of one of my all-time favorite movies (which I won’t name as it would give away some of the plot). I’m unsure where book two in this series will take us, but I will enjoy catching up with these crafty characters again.

The audiobook was a fun dual narration, and both narrators nailed the variety of emotions in the book.
