Cassidy’s trip from North Carolina to California for her sister’s wedding was supposed to be simple—board the plane, get off the plane. As the black sheep of her family, with a perfect sister and a judgmental mother waiting for her, Cassidy knew the real chaos would start upon her arrival. However, things go awry much sooner when a handsome yet infuriating stranger steals her airport parking spot, then doesn’t bother to hold the shuttle bus for her. Barely making her flight, Cassidy is horrified to find this same “jerk” seated in the row next to her. But when a mechanical issue forces the flight back to the terminal with no immediate travel alternatives, carefree Cassidy and buttoned-up Luke are forced to share the last available rental car for a cross-country journey that might just change both of their lives—if they don’t kill each other first.

Everything that can go wrong does go wrong on Cassidy and Luke’s road trip, from genuine danger to mishaps to hilarious misunderstandings. Yet in the midst of their chaotic journey, the annoyance between them gives way to meaningful conversations and an undeniable attraction. As they get closer to their destination, their connection deepens, making them wonder if they can ever go back to their old lives once they arrive. I had *so much fun* reading this! It’s a sweet, slow-burn romance with a touch of spice that left me eager for more from the world Hart has created (Luke and Cassidy’s best friends are simply the best!). I’m thrilled to hear that a second book set in this world might be on the way!

The audiobook, like The Great Dating Fake Off, is narrated by Zura Johnson and James Cavenaugh, and their performances are absolutely lovely.
