Book: ππππΒ Audiobook: ππππ Spice: πΆοΈπΆοΈπΆοΈ

What Iβve really enjoyed about this series so far is that there are no one-dimensional characters and sports are the backdrop to tell a larger story. All of those things come together beautifully in this third book in the Beyond the Play series. Like its predecessors, this is a βCute book cover, OMG what is happening?β spice level.
Seb, the always optimistic adopted brother of the Callahan family, is about to go in the first round of the MLB draft and the last thing he needs is to be distracted from the goals that have been laid out for him. However, he canβt seem to stop thinking about astrophysics student Mia who stormed into their lives along with his brotherβs girlfriend earlier this year. Mia, the cloud to her best friendβs sunshine, doesnβt want any distractions either. With a coveted study abroad program on the line, she has to be singularly focused. But, when her dorm is flooded and moving in with Seb is the only option, these two are on a collision course.
This book deals with a lot of heavy issues that both Seb and Mia have been carrying around for a long time. The two characters connecting with someone who sees them in a different way helps both of them face the fears of being truly honest with their families about what they want from life.
