Confession: I do not cry when reading books. EVER. Except this book. WOW. The dual timeline story unfolds over the course of nine Christmas Eves and eight nights of Hanukkah and it is just outstanding. You just must read this perfect winter romance.

Most definitely not to Theo, her brother’s best friend and her first love – the boy who gave her a snow globe on her birthday every year since she was nine, the boy who broke her heart. The structure of this story is so beautiful. You follow Ellie and Theo from when they were children, from an idyllic Christmas wonderland, through illness and unimaginable loss, the awkwardness of high school, stolen glances and sweet confessions, and the pain of heartbreak. You also meet them in the present as people who have found success and realized dreams but never felt whole without the other. It is a sweet story of first love, first kisses, and a fantastic second-chance romance.
