by Katie Williams

Lou is a happily married mom of a nine-month-old. She has also recently been brought back to life by a government project after becoming the victim of a serial killer. Although it was expected that Lou wouldn’t remember the events of her death due to traumatic memory loss, she is plagued by unease from her death and returning to life.Β

She is helped by a support group of the other victims of the serial killer as she navigates re-entering her life. But, as she continues to poke the edges of her memory, she begins to suspect there is more to her death than was reported in the news. Now, she must investigate her murder. And the more she digs, the more disturbing conclusions she finds.

The book is chilling, funny, fast-paced, and twisty. It is set in a world of futuristic technology that simultaneously feels unbelievable and quickly approaching, making you feel both comfortable and uncomfortable in the world Williams creates. I read it in one sitting because I NEEDED TO KNOW the truth. I took myself on 4-5 different paths before the truth was revealed. It’s an absolutely fantastic read that I highly recommend.
