This is my third Katie Bailey book and my favorite to date! If you are unfamiliar with her writing, Katie writes sweet, relationship-driven, closed-door romances that always have a lot of heart.

Thus starts a charming fake-dating, slow-burn romance that will make you fall in love with these two as they finally admit to long-repressed feelings. In addition to the relationship between Carter and Lana Mae, Carter’s relationship with Lana’s daughter is beautifully portrayed, and the family – genetic and found – that surround them in this story creates a world you wish you were a part of.
