I briefly reviewed this series a few months ago, but the books are being released over the next few months, so they each deserved their own posts. Lovelight Farms is the first in a four-book series about the quirky small town of Inglewild and the owners of Lovelight Farms, the local Christmas tree farm.

This book is one of my favorite romance novels. Each time you pick it up, you feel surrounded by a warm blanket in front of a fire with cocoa, kittens, and a big bowl of pasta. 

Stella owns the local Christmas tree farm and enters a social media contest to highlight the farm. But when she does, she says she owns the farm with her (nonexistent) boyfriend. When she wins, she convinces her best friend, Luka, to pretend to be her boyfriend while the social media influencer is in town. Of course, this means they must convince the whole town they are dating. As the ruse continues, Stella and Luka explore what it would feel like to be more than friends, as each has secretly (and desperately) wanted more for a long time. Will they be exposed as liars on a national stage? Will they find their way past friendship and to something more?

This, along with a handful of others (looking at you, Cheat Sheet and Love Wager), is the best of the friends-to-lovers books I’ve read. You will smile your way through every page of this book. You will love every character and the town. It is an exceptionally perfect friends-to-lovers romance.
