Daniel is the decade younger swoon-worthy heart and soul of the small-town – with a dog and a pajama-wearing baby goat. Neither are one-night-stand people, but that’s exactly what happens. Although Alexis sees no future for them together, she is constantly drawn back to Daniel and what starts out as something casual becomes life-altering for both of them.

I am late to the party with this book because, usually, I’m not too fond of age-gap romances, but this beautiful story is SO worth it. A charming small town with quirky and well-developed secondary characters, steamy magnetism, and main characters figuring their shit out in healthy ways. It is fantastic.
