You’ll fall in love with Noah and Mia in this best friends-to-lovers/marriage of convince novel.

Mia doesn’t love her job and wants to return to school but can’t afford to lose her medical insurance. But her lifelong best friend Noah won’t let her miss out on her dreams. So, they hatch a plan to get married so she can get health insurance through his job. Because it just might get them in big trouble at his job, no one can know it is fake – not even their closest friends and family. However, pretending to date your best friend gets complicated when you wish it wasn’t fake.

This book checks EVERY box. It is sweet, funny, and heartfelt. Mia and Noah have so many fun habits, pranks, and traditions that you get a deep sense of their friendship. However, this isn’t a rom-com; there are intense emotions of fear, loss, and guilt about the past, which are dealt with in believable ways, and the roadblocks they face on the path to happiness seem genuine and not forced to crate third-act drama. Although not written in a formal dual POV style, Ashley does a superb job of getting into the thoughts and emotions of both characters. There are so many moments where you just feel the intense love, tenderness, and respect Mia and Noah have for each other.
