I love this series, so my hopes were HIGH for this book, but WOW, was it great.

Ziggy is the youngest player on the national soccer team and the youngest of seven Bergman siblings. Despite the closeness of the family, her siblings struggle to see her as anything other than the baby sister that needs protecting. Ziggy wants her family and teammates to realize she isn’t a naive girl but a woman who can take risks.

Seb is the best friend and LA Kings teammate of Ziggy’s brother. Unfortunately, he has also recently hit rock bottom after a series of poor choices, and his image desperately needs a makeover. 

Ziggy and Seb join forces hoping that by pretending to be friends, her perfect image will improve his, while his bad-boy reputation might tarnish her’s a little. Over time, their fake friendship develops into a real one, with each finding in the other someone who truly sees the other.

The connection that evolves between Ziggy and Seb is so tender and sweet. Reading the lengths they go to in caring for each other as friends while both secretly, desperately wanting more, is heart melting. There are also tons of other Bergmans, a brothers summit, a trip to the A-frame, and everything else you expect from this series.
