“I’m not sure I’m the good girl I once thought I was. I’ve lost her along the way.”

Holly Jackson

The death of high school senior Andie Bell has haunted Pip’s hometown for years. Andie was popular, pretty and murdered by her boyfriend. But Pip always thought there was something more to the story. Now a senior herself, her capstone project is to reexamine the old case. Pip opens a Pandora’s Box of secrets, lies, and danger, which hurtles her toward the truth in this riveting mystery.

I grew up loving old Nancy Drew books, and Pip is a thoroughly modern take on the intrepid girl detective. @hojay92 writes in a fast-paced style where as a reader, you feel through her writing the tension, anxiety, fear, or happiness of each character. Reading was a joy, with many twists and turns resulting in a genuinely satisfying outcome. I’m excited to read the next book in the series.
